Keep those PTA memberships coming in!  Help us get the Early Bird award by sending yours in by September 15.  Simply log on to the LHHS PTA website and click on Store to pay online with a  credit card, or Forms to pay by check. Several clubs are giving a credit hour for a student PTA membership, so this is an easy way to earn an hour.

Keep up with your student's education by accessing RISD's Star_Portal for parents. After an annual registration process, Star_Portal will allow parents to view their child's up-to-date cumulative average, report card grades, period-by-period attendance, and unofficial transcript throughout the school year. Star Portal access will be available beginning September 7.

Parents, please make plans to attend a Senior Parent Meeting on Sept. 16. Mark your calendar and plan to attend at 7 PM in the Student Center.  Please bring calendars and checkbooks!  The senior parent committee is still in need of volunteers for several of the exciting events taking place for our seniors throughout the year.

Homecoming is right around the corner!!! The big game is scheduled for October 1, so order your mum or armband today. The first day to place mum/armband orders is Monday, Sept. 13 and the last day for orders is Friday, Sept. 24. All orders will benefit the LHHS Band.

Cheerleaders will be selling "Got Wild" game shirts Sept. 2 and 3 and Sept. 9 and 10 in front of the cafeteria. Cheerleaders are encouraging everyone to wear the "Got Wild" shirts for the first home football game on Sept. 10.

An online auction benefiting the Lake Highlands Wildcat Club will be open for a few more weeks. A number of fun and unique items are being actioned off - whether you are looking for a book, tickets to an event, dinner out or that perfect “priceless” experience  - there is something for everyone. The auction closes Sept. 18.
