The February teacher appreciation lunch will be held on Friday, February 19. We are having chili with all the fixings, along with salad and brownies for dessert. February seems like a great month for a good, hot lunch. We need volunteers to bring the following:
19 volunteers to bring ONE gallon of chili (your own recipe) heated and in a disposable aluminum baking container. I checked at the Skillman Tom Thumb and there is a container described as "extra deep roaster". It holds a gallon with some slosh room. If you don't have a good chili recipe, Debbie Snider has a very easy, tasty recipe to share. White chili would also be welcome.
1 volunteer to bring ONE gallon of chili, NO MEAT. We have a few vegetarian teachers on staff. Same additional information as above.
3 volunteers to bring FOUR family size bags of ORIGINAL Fritos (the little fritos). 2 for $5.98 at Sam's.
3 volunteers to bring ONE 5 lb. bag of shredded cheddar cheese $8.77 at Sam's
2 volunteers to bring FIVE CUPS each of diced white onions. Double bagged, please!
1 volunteer to bring TWO 5 lb. tubs of sour cream. $3.98 each at Sam's
1 volunteer to bring FOUR 2.5 lb bags of iceberg mix lettuce.
2 volunteers to bring FOUR 2.5 lb. bags of romaine lettuce each. $2.87/bag at Sam's
3 volunteers to bring TWO packs (those large cardboard trays) of brownies. $7.76/tray at Sam's
