 | Checkbook Fundraiser Thanks
So far, 126 Lake Highlands families have contributed. Are you one of them? THANK YOU to all the contributors to the LHHS Checkbook Fundraiser and the Courtyard Project. As of September 22, 2009, 126 supporters have donated $12,090!!!! We are making progress toward our $15,000 goal.

Homecoming Mums on Sale Beginning October 1
Homecoming mums and armbands will be sold from October 1 through October 16 in the cafeteria hallway during all lunches. Styles of mums and armbands can be seen up close and personal in the "A" hall display case. Download your mum or armband order form here or pick up a copy in the office.

The Texas PTA Centennial Celebration at Cotton Bowl Field will not be held as scheduled. If you already purchased a ticket, your ticket can be used for entry to the State Fair of Texas from September 25 to October 18.

Clothes Closet Needs your Help
The Clothes Closet is in need of volunteers to assist children from RISD with selecting clothing they can use throughout the school year. This is a rewarding volunteer opportunity and takes only 3 hours one time during the school year.

Reflections Contest
It's time for students to start working on their Reflections Entry for this year! We have a BIG goal and we want to make it! We would like 100 STUDENTS to have entries on display this year. Theme: "Beauty is..." The goal of the Reflections program is emphasize that all students have the ability to create a work of art.
