RISD Clothes Closet Needs bags with Handles
The RISD Clothes Closet provides school clothing and toiletry items to needy students in Lake Highlands. Often, it’s a kind-hearted teacher who notices an inadequate jacket, ill-fitting clothing, or the tell-tale odor of items worn repeatedly without being washed and she refers them to the Closet.New or gently used clothing is always welcomed, new packages of underwear in any size (many junior high and high schoolers wear large adult sizes) are celebrated enthusiastically, and full sized bottl...

Christmas Cookies for our Staff
The next teacher appreciation event will be a cookie exchange for our LHHS teachers and staff. We would like to provide one dozen cookies for each teacher and staff member. We are asking each volunteer to provide FOUR dozen HOME BAKED cookies. If you think you cannot bake them (instead of buying), please volunteer for a later event.

The RISD Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) will meet three times during the 2009-2010 school year to share information regarding district-wide concerns with the Superintendent, Administrators, and the Board of Trustees. All meetings begin at 7:00 pm in Room 203 at the RISD Administration Building at 400 South Greenville.

Reflections Winners Announced
The Lake Highlands High School PTA Reflections Board would like to thank everyone who took the time to enter in this year’s 2009-2010 Reflection’s Program. This year’s theme “Beauty Is” hosted a vast array of art entries in the categories of Literature, Visual Art, Photography, Music Composition and Film Production.Judging of the 58 LHHS entries was completed on October 19th.
